由于三相半桥式SPWM逆变器的输出相电压的谐波含量较大，谐波的幅值也大，当其在UPS中应用时必须采用附加的消除谐波法。适合于三相半桥式SPWM逆变器的消谐波方法有三种：一种是前面提到的高频化法，此法是利用提高开关频率的办法将谐波频率提高，用减小低次谐波的办法来减小输出电压的谐波含量。此法的优点是可以调压，缺点是只能提高谐波的频率，而不能消除谐波，而且是一种用增加开关损耗来减小谐波的方法，开关频率越高，谐波含量越小，开关损耗越大；另一种方法是多重叠加法，此法是利用N个三相半桥式逆变器的输出线电压依次移开π/N相位角，用电压之间的相位角之差来消除一些低次谐波。这种方法的优点是可以消除一些低次谐波，不增加开关损耗，可以消除载波谐波幅值过高的特点，缺点是必须要用输出叠加变压器，而且不能调压。第三种方法是上述两种方法相结合的级联叠加法，它是用载波三角波依次移开2π/N相位角，用相同的正弦调制波进行调制来消除基波谐波的一种方法，此法的特点是综合了高频化法与多重叠加法的优点的一种消谐波法，用这种消谐波法既可以消除谐波，又可以扩容，是一举两得的好方法，是逆变器绿色革命的主要手段
