　　Almost three of small and medium-sized enterprises inGermany use or are planning to incorporate digital technologywithin their logistics processes according to research commissionedby FedEx Express. The study, which surveyed 501 SMEs acrossGermany, found that almost 6 out of 10 view digital logisticsprocesses – such as automatic product tracking or automatic routeplanning – as relevant in being able to keep pace with changingmarket re and the demands of their customers. Cloudtechnology is perceived to be the new technology that is mostrelevant in driving more efficient logistics chains and serviceimprovements in the coming years, based on feedback received fromcustomers by the SMEs surveyed.

　　Over a of respondents indicated that they activelymonitor the media and use the internet to obtain information ondigital trends, demonstrating that small and medium sizedenterprises can clearly see the potential benefits thatdigitalization can bring.
