A lawnmower is a machine utilizing one or more revolving blades to cut agrass surface to an even height. The height of the cut grass may befixed by the design of the mower, but generally is adjustable bythe operator, typically by a single master lever, or by a lever ornut and bolt on each of the machine's wheels. The blades may bepowered by manual force, with wheels mechanically connected to thecutting blades so that when the mower is pushed forward, the bladesspin or the machine may have a battery-powered or plug-in electricmotor. The most common self-contained power source for lawn mowersis a small internal combustion engine. Smaller mowers often lackany form of propulsion, re human power to move over asurface; "walk-behind" mowers are self-propelled, re a humanonly to walk behind and guide them. Larger lawn mowers are usuallyeither self-propelled "walk-behind" types or more often, are"ride-on" mowers, e so the operator can ride on the mowerand control it. A robotic lawn mower is designed to operate eitherentirely on its own or less commonly by an operator by remotecontrol.

1  Power drivencomponents动力驱动组件

All power drivencomponents except the cutting means and the ground-contacting partsof % pedestrian- controlled self-propelled lawnmowers& shall beguarded to prevent contact with these parts during normaloperation.除切割装置和行人控制的自行割草机与地面接触的部分外，所有动力驱动的部件都应加以保护，以防止在正常操作时与这些部件接触。

2  Guardattachment 防护罩

All guards shall bepermanently attached to the machine and shall not be detachablewithout the use of tools.所有防护罩应固定在机器上，不使用工具不得拆卸。

The opening of guards,except for the following, shall require the use of a tool:除下列情况外，打开护罩需要使用工具:

a)  the opening ofor removable interlocked guards which disable the protected movingparts; 使受保护的运动部件失效的联锁保护装置的打开或可拆卸;

b)  the opening ofhinged, automatically closing guards for grass dischargechutes; 开铰式，供排草槽自动关闭护栏;

c)  enginecompartment access of machines where the operator presence controlstops the engine. 进入发动机室的机器，操作员在场控制停止发动机。

3  Hotsurfaces热表面

3.1 General

A guard shall beprovided to prevent accidental contact with any exposed engineexhaust components larger than 10 cm 2 which have a surfacetemperature greater than 80 °C at (20 ± 3) °C ambient temperatureduring normal starting, mounting and operation of themachine. 在机器的正常启动、安装和运行过程中，应提供保护，防止意外接触任何外露的大于10cm2的发动机排气组件，这些组件的表面温度在环境温度(20±3)℃下大于80℃。

3.2  Temperaturemeasuring e温度测量装置

The temperaturemeasuring e shall have an accuracy of ± 4 °C.温度测量设备应具有±4°C的精度。

4  Protection fromexhaust fumes废气防护

Engine exhaust, whereprovided, shall not be directed towards the operator.发动机排气，如果提供，不应直接对操作人员。

On machines ewith an enclosure for the operator, the engine exhaust shall not bedirected towards the enclosure or the air inlet to theenclosure.在为操作人员配备了外壳的机器上，发动机排气不应指向外壳或外壳的进气口。

5  Pressurisedcomponents 压力组件

Pressurised hoses, linesand components shall be located or shielded so that in the event ofrupture the fluid can not be discharged directly on to the operatorwhen in the operating position.加压软管、管线和组件应该被放置或屏蔽，以便在发生破裂的情况下，在操作位置时，流体不能直接排放到操作人员身上。

6  Li液体溢出

When filled to themaximum % according to the instruction manual&, li, batteries, fuel systems, oil reservoirs, and coolantsystems shall be constructed to prevent spillage for 1 min whilstthe machine is tilted at 20° lateral and 30° longitudinal or at itslimit of stability as specified in the stability test for ride-onmachines (see 4.2.4.2.3.2) if greater. 7  Seats and footrests座椅和脚垫

7.1  Ride-onmachines shall be provided with an operator seat and foot rests.Where there is no floor beneath the driver's feet, foot rests shallbe provided. These shall be covered with slip resistantmaterial.骑乘机应该配备操作人员座椅和脚踏板。如果司机脚下没有地板，应提供脚踏板。这些应覆盖防滑材料。

7.2  For machineswith a width of cut less than or equal to 1200 mm:切割宽度小于或等于1200毫米的机器

a) the operator's seatshall have a buttock support at least 115 mm high at the rear,above the seating surface, to retain the operator;操作人员的座椅应在座椅表面以上的后方至少有115毫米高的臀部支撑，以保留操作人员;

b)  the seat shallbe at least 400 mm wide.座位应该至少有400毫米宽。
