The boron is one of the earliest used fire retardants, it also is an important inorganic fire retardant, and the characteristics are good thermostability, low toxicity, and smoke suppressioning. It may have great effect when mixes together with other fire retardants, after mix together, obviously may reduce the material burning smoke density; has noticeable preparing effect with halogen fire retardants and dioxide distibium. It is widely applied in the PVC electric cable, PE, EVA, PET, PBT, nylon, unsaturated polyester, epoxy resin, polyimide and all kinds of fire retardant coatings.
