BUNA® CB 550

Description

Buna CB 550 Lithium Butadiene Rubber.
The rubber is protected by a stabiliser system which is permitted for use under FDA regulation §177.1640, the recommendation VI of the Federal Institute for Risk Assessment and the Commission Directive 2002/72/EC respectively its further amendments including 2004/19/EC.

SV (5.43% in toluene) : 250 cp

Application

Buna CB 550 is used for the production of HIPS particularly to attain an improved stress cracking resistance. It can be used either alone or in blend with BUNA CB 565 T or SB-Polymers to achieve polystyrene with improved surface gloss.

Solubility

Buna CB 550 rubber is soluble in aliphatic hydrocarbons, styrene, toluene, tetrahydrofurane, cyclohexane, methylene chloride and 1,1,1-trichloro-ethane, and is insoluble in alcohols and water.
