CHARGING Cycle Applications: Apply constant voltage charge at 2.35v/c – 2.45v/c (14.1 – 14.7v for 12v Monobloc) at 20°C. Initial charging current should be set at less than 0.25C Amps. Switch to float charge to avoid overcharging. “Float” or “Stand-By” Service: Apply constant voltage charge of 2.25v/c – 2.30v/c (13.5 to 13.8 volts for 12v Monobloc at 20°C. When held at this voltage, the battery will seek its own current level and maintain itself in a fully charged condition. Temperature Compensation: Charging Voltage for both Cyclic and Standby applications should be regulated in relation to ambient temperature. As temperature rises charging voltage should be reduced to prevent overcharge and increased as temperature falls to avoid undercharge. 2应急照明电源的分类

应急照明电源是当正常电源不再提供正常照明需要的最低亮度的状态，即正常照明电源电压降为额定电压60%以下时，转换到应急照明电源供电。应急照明电源大致可以分为以下几种类型： (1)来自电力网有效地与正常电源分开的馈电线路。 (2)柴油发电机组。 (3)蓄电池组：又分为以下几种情况： 1灯内自带蓄电池，即自带电源型应急灯。 2集中设置的蓄电池组。 3分区集中设置的蓄电池组。 (4)组合电源：即由以上任意两种以至三种电源组合供电方式。

3转换时间的确定

转换时间根据实际工程及有关规范规定确定。 (1)备用照明的转换时间不应大于15s; (2)疏散照明的转换时间不应大于15s; (3)安全照明的转换时间不应大于0.5s;

转换时间的确定主要从必要的操作、处理及可能造成事故、经济损失考虑，某些场所要求更短的转换时间，如商场中心的收款台不宜大于1.5s;对于有严重危险的生产场所，应按其生产实际需要确定。对于疏散照明和备用照明只要采用自动转换是容易实现的。

4持续照明时间的确定

从应急照明电源的种类及转换时间的要求，不难看出应急照明持续工作时间是受到一定条件限制的。通常规定疏散照明持续工作时间不宜小于30min，根据不同要求可分为30、60、90、120、180min等6个档次。备用照明和安全照明的持续工作时间应视使用场所的具体要求而定。对于接自电网或发电机组的应急照明系统，其持续工作时间是容易满足要求的;对于蓄电池供电的应急照明系统，其工作时间受到容量大小的限制，对于要求持续工作时间较长的场所不宜单独使用蓄电池组，应考虑与发电机组配合使用。
