零地电压对IT负载的影响
零地电压对IT负载是否真的有影响,关键的问题是零地电压是否真正传到了IT内部的CPU、存储芯片等核心部件。实际上,通过分析IT负载内部的结构不难得到,UPS输出的电压只是给IT负载内部的电源模块供电,这一电源模块的输出才向IT内部的核心部件供电。
所以,要了解零地电压是否对IT负载有影响或影响的大小,关键是零地电压对这一电源模块的输出电压是否有影响或产生多大的影响。关于这一点,我们只需要分析一下IT负载内部电源模块的电路工作原理,就会得出理性的结论。
当前IT负载内部的输入电源模块采用两种制式,即ATX标准和SSI标准。ATX标准是Intel公司在1997年推出的一个电源规范,输出功率一般在125瓦~350瓦之间;SSI(Server System Infrastructure)规范是Intel联合一些主要的IA架构服务器生产商在ATX标准上推出的新型服务器电源规范。这两种电源的主电路如图8所示。
分析这一电源的工作原理可以看出,无论是ATX还是SSI电源,UPS输出的220V交流电进入IT负载内部后,都必须经四级变换,后转换成稳定的12V、5V、3.3V的直流电压,提供给IT负载内部的CPU、内存、存储设备、网络通信芯片等“真正的负载”使用。这四级变换如下图所示,分别为:
级:桥式整流器,将220V交流电变为约200~300V的直流电;
第二级:高频逆变器,将直流电再转换成几十到几百KHZ稳压的高频交流电;
第三级:高频隔离变压器,将高频交流电降压并隔离;
第四级:高频整流器,将稳定的高频交流电转换成稳定的直流12V(或5V、3.3V)输出。

1.零地电压在IT电源内的传播途
从上图可见,具有数伏零地电压的220V交流电,进入IT负载的电源后,从第到第二级,也许我们还能“追寻”到这一电压的存在踪迹,但是经过第三级后,由于变压器的隔离作用,这一共模电压在变压器的隔离输出端被彻底消除,后面的电路已经没有了零线,只有直流的正、负极,所以也就不再存在所谓的零地电压及产生的干扰。此外,无论是ATX还是SSI电源,都在其输入端设有共轭电抗器与Y电容,这一部件基本就可将共模的零地电压阻隔在IT电源的第级以外。
可见,零地电压进入IT负载内部后,从传播途径看,经共轭电抗器抑制后,终结于内部变压器的前端,根本达不到真正的IT内部CPU、RAM、EPROM、硬盘等的供电端,所以无论是多高的零地电压都根本不可能对数据系统造成任何影响。
有必要指出的是IT负载电源输出的12V直流电压,就是经第三级高频逆变器的高频变换得到的,其变换频率通常高达50KHZ~150KHZ,远高于高频机UPS的变换频率,所以高频变换是IT电源自身的根本,IT负载不惧怕“高频”。
2.“零地电压”与“相地电压”
“零地电压”已经广为人知,而“相地电压”的概念却似乎有点好笑。但是,如果我们能简单地分析一下相线和零线在IT负载内部的传播途径,我们就会得出非常惊奇的结果。由于ATX和SSI的变换结构几乎相同,所以我们以SSI制式电源为例来说明。
具有零地电压的UPS输出AC 220V电压进入IT负载的电源后,在输入电源的正半周,经第二级的整流后,相线L与第三级高频逆变器的正母线连通,而零线N则与负母线连通,见图9(a);而在输入电源的负半周,则刚好相反,零线N与正母线连通,而相线L则与负母线连通,见图9(b)。
由此可见,在IT负载的第二级后,相线与零线具有完全相同的功能与流通线路。这样,如果“零地电压”高将影响IT负载的正常运行,那无疑“相地电压”高也会对IT负载产生致命的影响。而零地电压我们可以通过技术手段让它小于1V甚至等于0V,但是,如果我们让相地电压也控制到小于1V以下的话,那么IT负载的输入就没电了,数据机房也就直接瘫痪了。因此,从这一反例也可看出,强调零地电压小于1V是一个荒谬的概念!
分析这一电路的交流输入部分,还可以得出一个更有趣的结果,由于输入电路的完全对称性,如果我们让“零地电压”等于AC 220V,而让“相地电压”等于0V,这一IT电源的输出将不受任何影响地正常工作。所以,从理论上说,IT负载的安全零地电压应为AC 220V,问题是这时如果相地电压也等于220V的话,输入IT负载的相零电压就等于0V或440V了, IT负载就出现了断电或高压事故!如果我们能设计一具有零地电压、相地电压和“相零电压”都等于220V的“特殊UPS”向IT负载供电,则IT负载将不受任何影响。
