概述
The predefined Monitoring & Control (M&C) user interface has all the features typical of a control system. It is clearly structured, ergonomic, easy to understand and can be set up as multilingual.
In addition, the design can be fundamentally influenced using a wide range of attractive elements provided in the engineering system for OS configuration:
• Libraries with standard objects and smart objects (lines, trends, etc.)
• Global symbol library with standardized display objects (containers, actuators, etc.)
• Symbols and faceplates of the Advanced Process Library (APL)
The configured, customer-specific process displays are expanded in M&C runtime by a standard overview (informs the operator about the current alarm situation), a process display hierarchy (used for process display selection) and a set of keys with display-specific operator functions.

Example of a process display
Graphics objects of the OC&M adapted to the APL enable task-specific optimization of process visualization of overview pictures (level 1/2). Compact, simplified representations draw attention to the essentials. This helps the operator to quickly grasp the current situation of the plant, identify trends early on and react immediately, if necessary.
The M&C system is optimized for handing large amounts of data. It impresses with its simple and intuitive operation and its high performance – even in large configurations. Many individual measures reduce the system load and improve the picture selection and updating times, e.g.:
Combination of status and analog values with alarm information into homogeneous block icons
Event-driven data transmission from automation system
Suppression of flutter alarms using methods such as:
Alarm activation delay
Alarm returning time
Alarm deadband
Group displays in the display hierarchy visually signal the pending alarms – categorized according to alarm priorities. They also have a loop-in-alarm function (call of the process display relevant for the alarm).
