The RacPower batteries are 48V system-compatible & have been designed for installation in 19” server cabinets. Developed specifically to support business and telecommunications industries, a single 5.2k Daily Use unit can supply a sustained 2000W for a typical 2.5-hour load-shedding cycle.

Up to 6 x, BN52V-100-5.2k BP units (31kWh) & up to 9 x BN52V-100-5.2k DU units (46kWh) can be connected in parallel. The Daily Use model also includes serial communication (CAN / RS485) functionality.

Please Note: If you want to put more than 2 RacPower BP or DU in parallel you must use a BMAC for successful CANbus communication and stability. Click here to view the Bmac.

What are Lithium Ion Batteries?

At BlueNova we manufacture Lithium Ion Batteries. In essence, Lithium Ion Batteries exist because of the discovery of lithium cobalt oxide (LiCoO2). When you pair a lithium cobalt oxide cathode with a graphite anode (in most cases), intercalation of lithium ions between layers of graphene takes place. This takes place in the spaces that occupy the enclosed site between single hexagonal rings of carbon atoms.

When you charge a lithium ion battery, the lithium ions move from the positive electrode, or the cathode, through a solid / liquid electrolyte to the negative electrode, or the graphite anode. While the battery runs down this process occurs in reverse. Lithium iron phosphate is one of the chemistries found in the lithium-ion family.
