3M氟化液FC-770是一种热稳定，全氟液体主要作为工业的和传导液。由于FC-770的化学惰性，所以可以用于单相或者二相的冷却液，用于超级计算机系统和军用的敏感电子元器件。因为其非常高的绝缘性，其可以用于高压变压器和高功率电子元器件的冷却。在半导体行业，FC-770主要用于蚀刻设备、离子注入设备，化学气相沉积(CVD)的恒温冷却液。由于FC-770的倾点非常低，所以可以用于冷热冲击试验及其他各种测试。
3M氟化液FC-40是无色透明全氟化学品，具有良好的化学惰性、电气绝缘性能、热传导性和独特的第表面张力广泛应用于半导体制造厂作为热传导介质。其液体温度范围为-57°C 至 155°C，主要应用于蚀刻设备、离子注入设备、测试设备及其他设备。因为FC-40是单一组分，所以其成分不好出现降解或者过期。FC-40沸点高，其随时间的挥发也比较少。

3M Fluorinert FC-770氟素化学品有良好的化学惰性，与电子部件接触时不会产生任何腐蚀，使用过后也不需要清洗。
