中国科学院大连化学物理研究所高级工程师王国旭说，与普通锂电池相比，锂硫电池体积更小，电池容量可以提高2-3倍，且以后还有提高的空间。研究人员研制的35Ah电池比能量 566Wh/kg（25℃测量），39Ah电池比能量616Wh/kg（50℃测量），这是目前世界上已公开报道的比能量最高的锂硫电池和电池组。并且，硫是一种对环境友好的元素，对环境基本没有污染。
