CHARGING Cycle Applications: Apply constant voltage charge at 2.35v/c – 2.45v/c (14.1 – 14.7v for 12v Monobloc) at 20°C. Initial charging current should be set at less than 0.25C Amps. Switch to float charge to avoid overcharging. “Float” or “Stand-By” Service: Apply constant voltage charge of 2.25v/c – 2.30v/c (13.5 to 13.8 volts for 12v Monobloc at 20°C. When held at this voltage, the battery will seek its own current level and maintain itself in a fully charged condition. Temperature Compensation: Charging Voltage for both Cyclic and Standby applications should be regulated in relation to ambient temperature. As temperature rises charging voltage should be reduced to prevent overcharge and increased as temperature falls to avoid undercharge. 在VRLA蓄电池密封和安全阀没有问题的时候,也会出现漏液。很多VRLA蓄电池在灌酸以后,VRLA蓄电池处于富液状态,VRLA蓄电池没有氧循环。靠VRLA蓄电池处于开口状态的三充二放把多于的电解液排出。硫酸比重再次提高。在盖安全阀的时候,电解液没有吸光,还存在游离酸。即使把游离酸吸光,VRLA蓄电池还是处在“准贫液”状态。隔板中的电解液相对要多一些。而隔板中稍多的电解液影响氧循环,这样,在对新的VRLA蓄电池进行充电时,排气量比较大,带出的硫酸比较多,形成“漏酸”。而胶体VRLA蓄电池在前50～100个循环,VRLA蓄电池处于富液到贫液的转换期,排气比较严重,排气代出胶体微粒形成了“漏酸”。

VRLA蓄电池漏液主要表现在极柱漏液和壳盖密封不良造成的漏液。VRLA蓄电池壳盖的密封方法有两类:胶封和热封。胶封方法是壳盖之间采用环氧树脂胶密封,密封质量受环氧树脂胶的影响,如环氧树脂存在老化和龟裂问题而造成漏液的可能性。
