南昌铁路局车辆检测所每年要定期对从各局站送检过来的大量UPS蓄电池组进行容量测试：通常每个铁柜内装有5组电池，每组有3节12V，电池容量不等，要求放电测试后必须再将电池充饱。由于缺乏测量工具，有时采用电暖器当负载放电，有时采用自制电阻丝放电，测量值不精确等问题，充电过程更需要花费大量的时间。所以测量1个铁柜内5组电池需要1个工程师花费5天时间。存在放电测试过程不安全性，劳动强度大，电池过放电或过充电隐患事件也常有发生。
解决方案：南昌铁路局于2008年4月购置了1台DCLT-3625蓄电池组充放电检测设备，为UPS蓄电池组进行高效充放电测试，每台DCLT-3625内置三个独立测量模块，可同时对3个铁柜（每个铁柜内有5组电池）的UPS蓄电池组进行放电和充电测试，一天时间可以测量3个铁柜，测量过程全自动记录并存储测量结果，与传统测量方式对比，测量过程安全性大大提高了，工作效率提高了15倍。
