用  途：广泛应用于化工、冶金、玻璃、搪瓷和水泥等领域

性  质：呈立方体、八面体或者十二面体。无色结晶或白色粉末，天然矿石中含有杂质，略带绿色或紫色。加热时发光。密度3.18g/cm3，熔点1423℃，沸点2497℃ ，折光率1.434。低毒。极难溶于水。可溶于盐酸、氢氟酸、硫酸、硝酸和铵盐溶液，不溶于丙酮。溶于铝盐和铁盐溶液时形成络合物，与热的浓硫酸作用生成氢氟酸。氟化钙跟浓硫酸在铅制容器中反应可制得氟化氢。能与多种金属氧化物形成低共熔物。
