DX RT UPS的监控通讯功能
对于一款面向高端应用的UPS系统，完善的通讯监控功能是必须的。Eaton公司为其新的DX RT系列UPS配备了完善的、可适合不同用户需求的监控方案。其中包括了Eaton公司新在全球发布的IPP (Intelligent Power Protector)和IPM (Intelligent Power Module)监控系统。

IPM是Eaton面向全球客户发布的可以支持包括简体中文、繁体中文在内的的13国语言的集中监控软件，可以用于对Eaton的所有UPS系统进行网络监控。可多支持对10台以下的UPS设备集中监控版本的IPM是免费的，这对于应用10台UPS以下的中小型机房用户来说是个非常好的消息，用户不用付钱购买软件就可以得到Eaton的原装集中监控软件。我们此次就针对这款免费版本的IPM集中监控软件针对DX RT的监控进行了测试。

由于IPM的设计是基于B/S的系统构架，使用WEB 2.0的动态网页技术。其配置操作完全是在网页浏览器的窗口中进行的，对于熟悉了浏览器操作界面的管理员来说非常简便。且IPM设计有非常强大的自动功能。一旦软件启动，它将能自动搜索并安装当前局域网中所有可管理的电力设备，纳入到自己的监控系统之中。在DX RT UPS配置好网卡以后，启动IPM软件，IPM就立即搜索并识别到这台UPS，将其自动加入到自己的监控列表中

IPM监控系统自身设计的自动化程度非常高，可以帮助管理员大大简化许多日常的维护工作，如包括了软件的自身升级。IPM软件的自动升级功能可以提醒管理员系统可以升级，并自动从互联网上下载升级组件并安装升级。除此之外，IPM软件也可检测其所管理的UPS的网卡是否有新的可升级固件或新版本的关机软件，并可以通过网络远程对UPS的网卡和关机软件进行批量在线升级。这样在保证用户所使用的设备和软件均为新版本的前提下，可大大降低人工升级的操作时间以及降低人工升级中可能出现的操作失误。

总结
伊顿DX RT产品作为一款企业级在线式UPS可以满足绝大多数企业级用户的需求。产品工业化的标准规格设计非常符合现代机房中的布局要求，机架、塔式可变换的安装方式更是方便了用户。中文LCD显示面板更是很细致的考虑到了用户，在扩展方面也是极其简单就可以扩展电池箱。智能的监控管理软件和简易的WEB操作界面，更切合IT管理人员的需求。重要的是DX RT在性能方面的稳定且的表现给笔者留下了深刻的印象，其高效率低输入谐波更符合绿色节能的要求。
